I found this enterprise feature while on a tour of the VA hospital in Columbia, Missouri. My goal with covering the VA was the show a different side of veterans, and this story did just that. Transportation is something we take for granted, but there are veterans in rural Missouri who can’t drive or don’t have access to a car. I woke up at 4 a.m. to ride along with the volunteer driver who helps those veterans get to the VA.
